REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – NASHVILLE, TN

Trojan Battery Sales is looking for an experienced and dynamic sales professional for the position of Regional Sales Representative for the Eastern Florida Region. The RSR is responsible growing existing business and developing new business with dealers and distributors in the assigned region to meet/exceed the business objectives of the Company

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers
  • Develop a pipeline of new customers through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the products, conducting demonstrations, and explaining product benefits
  • Provide customers with follow-up communication
  • Analyze sales statistics and prepare reports
  • Handle administrative duties such as: filing expense accounts, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans
  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Develop credibility and build relationships with clients
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and benefits
  • Guide customers through the sales process from application to activation
  • Follows quality system procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good communication skills
  • Goal-oriented, persuasive, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team to implement business development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License
  • Must have a good driving record
  • 2 to 3 years of outside sales experience
  • AA or BA degree in Marketing or related field is desirable
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)
  • Proven track record of sales success

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – ST. PETERSBURG, FL

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for ensuring that all customer requests and requirements are met and responded to professionally and in a timely manner. This position assures that external and internal customers receive efficient and courteous service by administering, coordinating and controlling specific customer programs and processes within the framework of established company policies, ISO procedures and work instructions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for receiving, retrieving and processing purchase orders and customer forecasts in the order entry system as designated
  • Provides timely and accurate information to external and internal customers regarding order status, inventory, quotations, post-shipment status and other issues by conferring with the appropriate department, such as Materials & Warehouse personnel
  • Responds to order related questions, such as confirmations, pricing, order status, etc., within 24 hours of order receipt, not to exceed 48 hours
  • Resolves scheduling conflicts with appropriate department or freight forwarders to meet customer needs. Assists in selling slow moving and/ or “blem” inventory
  • Communicates with internal cross-functional personnel at all levels of the organization to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Keeps manager informed of issues and improvement opportunities
  • Manages complex situations for domestic and export customer accounts (last minute changes, freight forwarder & credit coordination, etc.)
  • Works closely with appropriate departments to resolve credits, returns, customer complaints, and invoice issues.
  • Maintains customer files, profiles, and all records of order activity
  • Works with Sales Representatives and/or other departments to resolve customer order and related issues
  • Displays a positive attitude to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Reports data inaccuracies and customer problems to manager immediately
  • Prepares memos, correspondence, reports and other documents
  • Follows quality system procedures
  • Experience working in a Customer Service/Inside Sales role with a multi-site distribution and/or manufacturing field
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Excellent telephone skills; position communicates with many individuals, both internally and externally
  • Must have the demeanor and temperance to work effectively in a customer service and fast-paced environment
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must possess effective problem-solving skills; exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent decision making skills and ability to perform complicated tasks; attention to detail
  • Excellent PC and working knowledge of order fulfillment/Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) is preferred
  • Export/Import logistics and battery knowledge a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word and Excel
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Consistent and regular attendance required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma required – 2-year college degree preferred

  • Comply with all Company safety rules & DOT regulations
  • Familiar with energy control procedures & Hazard Evaluation
  • Assist other departments when deliveries are not available, as well as fill in where needed within the department
  • Warranty processing for customers and returning to warranty department
  • Organize used batteries for distribution to smelter
  • Stock rotation
  • Ability to operate forklift and electric pallet jack
  • Ability to read and interpret maps
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete orders accurately
  • Understand and follow work instructions
  • Arrive at work station on time; leave work station on time, unless otherwise instructed by Supervisor
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must hold a valid Class B driver’s license, a clean driving record and current liability insurance
  • Warehouse experience a plus
  • Must maintain a hazardous material certification
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience
  • City driving experience preferred
